Dear Connie,
I heard you were telling your classmates about me and my book, that you were proud of me, and that you want to write a book someday as well! It made me smile, and I wanted to write this letter to you so you can always know that your brother loves you and thinks about you! I will always be your brother, no matter where you are or what others may say. If they don't believe you, well... that's alright. It makes me very happy to know you are proud of me, and it brings a smile to my face to think that you want to write a book someday.
My book is scary and full of shadows, but you are a person of light and goodness. The sun brings us flowers in spring, soft grass in summer, and lovely golden leaves in autumn. The moon brings light in the darkness, and the stars serve as guides to watch over us through the night. There is goodness in both shadow and light, so always remember that! When you're older, you may read my book, and I hope you like it, even if it is scary.
I believe your book will be awesome, and I want to let you know that I'll be among the first to read it! For those who didn't believe in you, I hereby invite you to share this letter with them; you can tell them your author brother is still looking out for you. I'll be posting this on my own website, so you can always find it and share it with the world if you wish!
I love you, sister. Be strong, be wise, walk in the light, and don't fear the shadows. There is beauty to be found beneath both the sun and the moon.
Your brother,
Christopher Tirvinan Greenleif
